This is for Linux users, who use Steam and Proton and know what they are doing!
If you want to transfer your savegame files from the Final Fantasy XVI Demo to the full game, then go to this location:
/home/your-username/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/2738000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XVI DEMO/Steam/76561197963835759/
Note that you may wish to create a backup of those files, before you insert, or overwrite something.
And copy the *.png files to this location:
/home/your-username/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/2515020/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/FINAL FANTASY XVI/Steam/76561197963835759/
Remember to to use your file manager, to enter the directories. For example Dolphin on KDE. And do replace “your-username” with your user, that uses Steam.
The reason, why this needs to be done is, that for each game, Proton will create a seperate virtual C drive.
